Lead Solution Architect for Capital Impact

Capital Impact consists of 100 coworkers that provide applications and services to optimize capital allocation in Nordea. As a valued partner we deliver on the top prioritized business investment themes including balance sheet optimization and process efficiency. Capital Impact is responsible for supporting different business services which includes Provision & Loss, Debt Collection, Collateral Management, Limit Management and Balance Sheet Management Analysis.

The department today has several delivery teams that, using an agile way of working, develop solutions in close cooperation with many other partners and areas in the whole of Nordea.

We are now looking for an experienced Solution architect with strong leadership skills to take on the role as Lead Solution architect, joining our team in Stockholm.

Your Responsibilities
As Lead Solution Architect you are covering a whole business domain in Nordea across countries and channels. You are working in a top-down and business centric way, focusing on commonality and proactively work towards consolidation of systems, processes and policies across business areas and IT-solutions.

In your role you will have the authority and the responsibility for the solution architecture within Capital Impacts all different areas. You are responsible for both establishing architectural ways of working, leading other architects and development teams within ongoing initiatives, as well as defining IT-architectural principles and blueprinting.

You actively steer and guide our development initiatives and safe guards that solutions created are aligned with our target architecture. You will work closely together with our Domain architect supporting different forms of architectural work within Capital Impact as well as cross-domain.

As Lead Solution architect in Capital Impact you will:

• Drive and coordinate the architectural work within ongoing initiatives
• Be a central role in the development and documentation of Application, Technology and Transition architecture with our Domain-, Business- and Information architects.
• Be overall responsible for the solution architecture at Capital Impact, working throughout our applications whole lifecycle from initiative to maintenance.
• Guide and review physical solution design by participating, and sometimes heading, decision meetings in different architectural forums.
• Take an active part in architecture networks
• Support the Capital Impact Business CIO and the Domain Architect in idea maturation, portfolio planning, funding, cross-domain solution architecture coordination and communication tasks.

Requirements:

• Vast experience of leading design and architectural work in major projects and transformation programs
• Experience of architectural work in complex environments working with architects from different architecture disciplines
• Solid skills in solution architecture and design principles
• Broad experience from implementing and govern architectural principles and best practices to secure high quality in IT solutions
• Solid background from application architecture and an interest in technologies
• Very comfortable in guiding and reviewing the work done by subject matter experts and technology architects
• Preferably experience in mentoring any of lead developers, solution-, information- or system architects
• Preferably experience and/or orientation in Scaled Agile Framework or any other large scale Agile organizational concept/process
• Experience from the financial industry, preferably Retail Core Banking

With your communication skills you can find the right level of communication to various stakeholders within both business and IT. We think you’re highly focused on achieving results in a pragmatic way, while also being attentive to others and open to new ideas but not afraid to stand up for your thoughts and views.

This position is located in Stockholm, but due to that we support business partners across the whole Nordea some travel must be expected.
