StockholmSunGard is looking for a new Business Development Manager
As SunGard’s new Business Development Manager you will sell SunGard’s AS portfolio of products and services to new name customers across defined vertical markets to achieve and exceed associated sales targets.
The role
In your role as Business Development manager you will meet allocated Sales Targets with specific focus on attainment of new name business for SunGard. You will also have customer facing meetings as a part of the sales process and build and maintain sales pipeline through a variety of sources. You will sell products and services according to current terms and conditions and maintain customer database. You will also provide accurate and timely forecast on a regular basis.
The role also include to co-ordinate with colleagues in Service Delivery to ensure the resolution of any issues related to subscriber testing. You will assist financial administration as needed in the collection of all invoices due from assigned accounts. You will also arrange and attend client tours at the assigned center as needed.
Furthermore you will have security responsibilities, for example:
- Ensuring data protection is maintained and information is made available on a need to know basis
- Active involvement in the prevention of unauthorized access and damage to information
- Report security weaknesses and incidents appropriately to relevant personnel including the Security function in a timely manner
Technical Expertise
- Previous experience of vertical sales is essential with a proven trach record of success
- Knowledge of the IT Managed Services market place, knowledge of Business Continuity is preferable
- Commercial awareness
- Good understanding of the sales process
- Ability to efficiently use MS Office suite is essential
- Previous experience of a client management database, ideally Sales Forse.com

- Self-motivated individual, with an over achievement mentality
- Must be able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
- Must be able to work on own initiative with little direction whilst remaining a team player
- Must be able to work in partnership with key contact in other departments
- Must be able to learn the use of SunGard’s proprietary systems
- Reliable, conscientious and a good time keeper
- Proven administrative skills
- Good organization skills
Educational qualifications
- Educated to A Levels or equivalent
- Relevant degree would be preferred but not essential
Other
- Possesses a valid Driving Licence
- Flexibility with travel is essential
