There is a vacant position in TeliaSonera Group Technology Radio Networks

Here is a possibility for you to become part of the RAN LCM (Life-Cycle Management) team, with responsibility for OSS development and OSS vendor management. Main responsibility is managing our OSS vendors Ericsson, Nokia, Huawei and ZTE but also other network element manager vendors. Vendor contract negotiations and contract follow-up together with Group Procurement is a major part of the role. You will be an important driver on taking the OSS development in the next level at TeliaSonera. Role includes participation in development and implementation of OSS strategy related to architecture and virtualization of OSS systems and securing that vendors are matching TeliaSonera future needs both technically and commercially.

Your key responsibilities include
• OSS vendor management at TeliaSonera
• Development of OSS technical requirements for RFPs
• Supporting OSS contract negotiations with vendors in close co-operation with Group Procurement
• Work closely with OSS technical team and support development of OSS architecture, software, hardware and virtualization, including SON functionality
• Securing OSS system vendors’ roadmap visibility within interest groups inside TeliaSonera in conjunction with Radio network roadmaps
• Secure financial forecasting for OSS investments
• Support Life-cycle Management for RAN and OSS equipment and software

Required skills and competences

A solid knowledge of OSS / SON / IT / Cloud / NFV related to radio networks combined with proven track record of vendor management and purchasing contracts is required. Earlier experience on successful technical and commercial negotiations is mandatory.

On a personal level, you are accountable, proactive and result-oriented with strong planning, prioritization and organization skills. You are good at communicating and building relationships, and you enjoy working in an international environment. You are capable of working with detailed architecture, hardware and software questions based on the needs of TeliaSonera Business units in all markets. You dare to take a stand and argue your way of thinking.

As the internal and external interfaces and your colleagues are distributed over multiple countries, it is required that you are self-driven and able to work independently, but yet in close cooperation even through physical distance.

The position will be based in Helsinki or Stockholm and will require some traveling.

Knowledge and experience

• Master’s degree on relevant technical field combined with business studies
• Earlier experience on technical and commercial contract negotiations and understanding of purchasing contracts is mandatory.
• Experience working in OSS area, understanding of at least one of our vendors’ OSS system
• Insights of SON, NFV and Cloud functionality
• Overall understanding about the mobile network architecture, specifically for RAN but also including Core, and IMS
• Earlier experience of vendor management is highly appreciated
• Strong Telecom business insight
• Fluent in English, both in writing and spoken.
• Fluent in one Nordic language, with corresponding writing skills.
• Other language skill is an advantage
