The Fixed IP Department within TeliaSonera Network Architecture is now to be reinforced with a SDN/NFV Senior Network Architect. Network Architecture is a strategic function leading the work on how the network is to evolve mainly in a three to ten year perspective. Network Architecture works across the whole Technology area and the department is divided into three sections: R&D Network, Mobile and Fixed IP. This position is placed in Stockholm.

Job description 
As a leading Telecom player, TeliaSonera has a clear objective to continue offering cutting-edge Network Technology, focusing on SDN (Software Defined Networking) and NFV (Network Functions Virtulazation). As Senior Network Architect you will assume a leading role in architectural analysis, definition and in securing the standardization towards SDN/NFV at TeliaSonera- worldwide. With several years of experience and a deep understand of IP Networks and Virtualization you will not only provide strategic vision in this area, but also the hands-on knowledge on how to get there.

Your responsibilities include:
• Lead and implement TeliaSoneras architectural effort within NFV, SDN, telco and cloud software
• Identify and anticipate key trends that impact technology choices in the network infrastructure
• Be an internal and external ambassador for the TeliaSonera Network virtualization effort
• Implement TeliaSonera design including business use cases, trade-offs and risk mitigation
• Provide technical presentations and documentation to influence other stakeholders within and outside of TeliaSonera
• Support engagement with key SDN and NFV players
• Provide expertise in interactions with stakeholders
• Champion research in emerging areas as well as in technologies identified during the innovation process
• Take partial responsibilities in project management and team coordination

Qualifications 
• A degree in IT Architecture or equivalent
• 5+ years of experience within Network- technology, infrastructure, architecture, design and development.
• Experienced within IP Networks on a national and international level
• Knowledge of concepts like virtualization (NFV) and SDN Applications
• Experience preferably from the major telecom operators
• Fluent in English

Other relevant experience:
• Experience within system integration and standardization
• Expertize in legacy routing protocols (OSPF, IS-IS, BGP etc) and related data plane architectures
• Very good Understanding of Hypervisors, OF (Open Flow), OF Config, Open vSwitch, OVSDB, NETCONF and Open Stack
