The opportunity

You are a strong coder and you want to continue to code and contribute to the project on a technical level through new feature architecture & design, database performance optimization, scalability solutions, monitoring, package upgrades, security awareness and refactoring. 

Using your strong technical foundation, you'll be supporting Hub Planner’s overall business goals by building the product together with a global tech team. We’re now looking to hire a person that will be based in Stockholm (the company’s HQ). 

Some of your key tasks:

• Code, primarily working in Node.js, MongoDB and AWS
• Review and implement design patterns and software architecture for new and existing features.
• Lead the development and enhancement of our MERN stack SaaS platform.
• Architect and implement solutions that improve the scalability and performance of our applications.
• Identify areas of code for possible refactoring and improve code quality and readability.
• Refine and design new efficient pipelines in our continuous integration environment.
• Take responsibility for code deployments to staging and production environments.
• Identify & fix performance bottlenecks and errors proactively in the codebase and database
• Conduct code reviews through pull requests with developers. 
• Mentor and guide other developers, promoting best practices and coding standards.
• Oversee testing and bug fixing as required from QA team
• Create and manage technical documentation
• Stay up to date with new developments in the web technology space
• Proactively address security concerns and enforce coding standards such as OWASP
  
  
  

Who we're looking for

• Proven experience as a Senior Node.js Developer in a MERN stack environment. Minimum five (+5) years experience
• Strong proficiency in Node.js, JavaScript, TypeScript, AWS and MongoDB
• Previous experience in SaaS development or scale ups
• In-depth knowledge of design patterns and best practices in web development
• Experience with building and consuming RESTful APIs
• Ability to work collaboratively in an agile environment
• Fully fluent in English, oral and written
• Strong commitment to code quality, documentation, and best practices
• Deep understanding of data structures and data sizes for optimizing data flow
• Experience of taking the lead (formally or informally) in a technical setting including prioritizing
• You can plan and strategize your own technical work
• Excellent problem solving skills, demonstrating analytical as well as creative thinking
• A great listener & having strong communication skill (incl non-technical stakeholders)
• Excellent time management and prioritizing skills
• Ideally some experience from project or resource management software, but not a must
• Swedish citizen or permission to work in Sweden
