Create tomorrow’s maintenance at Nordea as IT Service Manager
Nordea is on an interesting journey where a lot of focus and investments are placed on IT improvements- and simplifications. In this position, you get the chance to make a real difference in the daily functionality of Nordea’s Cash Management IT solutions. An area that handles an incredible volume of daily payments and transactions at one of the largest banks in Sweden. Sounds interesting? Do you have what is takes?
In the position as Service Manager you take responsibility for a domain of defined services, coordinating with stakeholders across the value chain. The key objective is to provide great customer experiences by coordinating the maintenance work on operational level and to meet customer needs to secure long-term stability and efficiency. The application portfolio is split in different service areas and you are expected to act as a genuinely committed Service Manager in your area of responsibility.
Nordea’s core processes are based on the ITIL framework. They are moving to business process / service orientation from an application-centric focus. They also coordinate their activities with the ongoing implementation of the New Payment Platform. This platform will replace much of their existing, mainframe based local payment technology.
Example of responsibilities
• Be accountable in all situations for a service domain in the whole value chain for all stakeholders.
• Run daily operations on the agreed SLA /OLA and will plan those a year ahead.
• Identify and manage risks and focus on system stability and reengineering to secure high maintainability of our systems.
• Focus to simplify our applications and thus enable implementation of the New Payment Platform.
Qualifications
To be successful in this role you need to have a technical bachelor or master’s degree. You have a professional IT background and are comfortable taking decisions and acting as an energetic driver. You are multi-skilled with an eye for analysis and a genuine interest for architecture.
You have interest / experience in other technologies than mainframe and are keen on future possibilities a New Payment Platform can bring. You see processes as enabler and are experienced with IT Service deliveries with ITIL as the frame.
You demonstrate stakeholder management skills and understand the dynamics of the business area in which a system is operating and are interested to contribute to implement the business strategy. You are fluent in English, both conversation and writing. Swedish language is a benefit.
